Free Indie Christmas Album
I love the Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica, Banjo, and Bass guitar. Three weeks ago I decided to make a Folk Christmas album that I could release for this Christmas. I locked myself away in my Apartment for two weeks, busted out my Samson CO3U USB Condenser mic and went to town on Garageband. Now...three weeks later I have a finished the album, gone through mastering, and finalized the artwork. And I am very pleased with my Folk acoustic driven Christmas Album. Have a great holiday season this year and make it a point to give more than you get!

Sweet Kelli
When I first started dating my future wife I would show her my newest songs that were written as poems first. Here is a copy of one of the first songs I wrote about her, FYI: I started off with a lot of rough edges, forgive me please. Know She is just my "Sweet Kelli"

A Pretty Bed Idea
When my best friend walked into the hotel room he thought I had been
harboring a secret, I just wanted the bed to smell nice.
Tight Short Pants
I told everyone that my cousins shorts wouldn't fit, I thought they were cool looking but
they caused a lot of discomfort in front of people.
Amish Sausage Contest
This is a picture of myself at an Amish Sausage contest with my grandma.
I only beat her by two, because she didn't pace her pitcher of water very good.
Im never eatings sausage again, Yuck!
Advice on Failure
"Make failure a friend, and you'll have a friend for life" side effects...depression.
Thanks a lot stupid quote, you've been stuck in my head all day and you're not
even right. The quote should be "If you fail, you succeeded at failing, good job"

Mickie Finnz Gigs
Ever since last summer I have been doing a regular monthly gig at this bar/restaurant by my place called Mickie Finnz. It has easily become my favorite place to play music. When I play there fridays, I usually go from 4-7 which is there happy hour. I have to say this is probably the worst time to play because some people are still at work or want to take showers after work(at least I know I do). But besides this time thing it always ends up having this "Cheers Bar" feeling. All types of different people from different parts of my life congregate in one Bar to enjoy time and food together...and I get to be the one who plays the music, I am so lucky. Lately I have realized that I really don't have to play all covers to keep the night going but I am able to mix in new and old songs from my albums and it can just play as background. I love this because I am constantly able to try out new songs in a live setting and it really makes me more confident in songs I am still unfamiliar with. Anyway, if any of you have been ones that have come to these gigs, Thank you for the support. New Album in February is still the plan.

Going Through the Motions
Last night I played my normal wednesday night gig at Gaetano's. When I got there I was not in the mood to play or sing. Mostly because I was sick but also because I had a feeling it was going to be unreceptive. As I started I immediately knew my voice was off and my guitars were out of tune...Bummer. But I squeaked on just to finish the night in normal fashion. With only a few personal highlights from the evening I quickly packed up and headed to my sick wife waiting at home. On the drive, I literally felt like the night was a bad dream. I think part way through the first song the function in my brain that makes me aware shut down and I became a robot. All the chords on my guitar were basic and all the notes I sang were standard. I turned on autopilot and played for three hours. I guess I just need to understand that there are always going to be days like this. No matter how much I enjoy the Jobs that I have or the life that I have been given, there are going to be times when you hate everything and everyone, its just part of our nature(or maybe just mine). This morning though I woke up with hope. Hope that the next gig I play will inspire others along with myself. Onward, Peace!

New Album "Badder Times" In February
In December I decided my new album "Badder Times" would be available February 2011 so over the last two months I have been saving and spending recording monies as effectively as possible. As of this post I have recorded ten songs and have one more to record. But still, all of these songs need to be mixed and mastered which will make this month a very pressing month. The album is turning out to be a great success with my wife (the only one I'm really showing it to), but I continue to discourage myself with songs that were recorded first vs. songs that have been done recently. Should I change the drums? Should I add a shaker? Should I add an electric? Etc... With this I find my plate overwhelmed with decisions that may not mean much later but right now they seem intense. All this being said, Im really excited with what has been done so far and I am very excited to have my second album available. If you get a chance to listen to it, I hope you love it.
